Since the farmer assumes all of the financial risks in growing and harvesting their crops, they should have the freedom to market and sell it to whomever they chose.

Why should Western farmers be forced to sell their crops to a monopoly, while farmers in Ontario and Quebec have the freedom to sell it to anyone they choose?

It is time for the CWB to be disbanded, so that the Western farmer can be freed from its chains of oppression. The CWB is a prime example of 19th century economic policy being applied to a 21st century economy.

Canadian farmers can sell their crops elsewhere under the current provisions of the CWB. If your concern is for freedom of information then lets address that. The marketing force of a single desk is HUGE especially in todays global workplace. Under current World Trade Organization conditions Canada can NEVER start up another Marketing Board and if you look to the U.K. Example of removing the Dairy Board the outcome there was disasterous for English Farmers. The future for Canadian Farmers lies with a united single desk under the current provisions of CWB and hopefully even more provisions for outsourcing should Farmers unite and agree on adding in more provisions for the HUGE risks that they take.

Heaven forbid farmers would be allowed to sell their product to who they want.

The farmers have spoken if the wheat board is such a good thing force Quebec farmers to get off their high horses and use it.

Why is it not catestrophic if they don't use the CWB?
