This is Bullshit !!! Tory Sour Grapes from Former FCM Pres

Former Federation of Canadian Municipalities President Gloria Kovach could not win a Tory Nomination due to poor organization and even worse political skills and now she is playing the "poor me" victim stance and pointing her finger at everyone other than herself. This article says it all. I for one call bullshit. To even think that Stephane Dion would consider such a petty action is incomprehensible..did she see his Leadership Campaign ? Does she understand that as the Leader for Renewal he fundamentally believes in an open and transparent Government? Ms. Kovach simply needs to take responsibility for her actions- a novel idea for a Tory. To point the finger elsewhere demeans the FCM which is one of the most effective voices for Municipalities and Cities across the Country. Shame on you Ms. Kovach politics is not a "sand box with childrens toys for you to play with" but rather politics is a complex art of negotiations and a thorough understanding of Canadians and the challenges we face in the 21st century.

Her "legal action" is going to be interesting... seeing as the FCM recorded the whole process and claims it went by the book when voting Kovach out.

But noooooo... "Dion didn't like me" :(

What a fool. They must really be scared of Stephane.

As an aside, good luck with the campaign this year. I've watched your MP in the H of C and I'm embarassed by him. (If it's Rod Bruinooge). He voted against same-sex marriage and made an embarassing speech that made it sound like all First Nations people opposed same-sex unions citing "elders" he spoke to and how it's not "tradition". While failing to realize that prior to contact and with the introduction of Christianity, some First Nations Chiefs would have multiple marriages. Would he then support bigamy since it's tradition so long as it doesn't involve couples of the same sex?

Also, when the vote for the Kelowna Accord came, given he's First Nations, you'd figure he'd represent his FN constituents and vote for the bill. However, given he's "conservative" and all votes appear to be whipped votes, he wasn't in the H of C during the vote. I was curious to know if he was "out of town". Yet, after the voting was all done and people were asking questions, he showed up and answered a question.

So it's okay for him to use his FN status and talk about elders when it suits him but he casts it aside when a motion is being passed that benefits his people and just doesn't show up to vote.

I hope your candidate unseats him!

Brunooge is that opportunistic eh? Pitty sets back the First Nation Movement so far when people like that pick and choose their ancestry. John Loewen is a solid person with real star potentialand in fact there was a nice article about him in the Free Press today as he led the charge to keep the Jets here in Winnipeg back in 95.
Thanks for your comments and well wishes. Did you know we have a wonderful First Nations Gal by the name of Valerie Galley helping lead the Liberal Cause here in Manitoba ..do you know her by chance?
