Thoughts for this wet and slippery "WinterPeg" day the Leafs are in rough shape. A bare clawed win over Tampa and Fergy has to make some changes ...soon and painful changes or it is hello golf clubs in May. Tenders ALL should go and Pogge should be given a crack at the Bigs. The D ..Gill has to go and White needs some time in the Minors to get his act together ..upfront throw in Sundin for a good package deal with the Tenders and get a prolific goal scorer..Forsberg would be nice..Sakic...why not reach for the stars and go for Syd the Kid we need to shake up "Canada's Team"..
On the Liberal Leader front I hear ticket sales a "little light on the loafers" for 100 dollar a plate breaky Monday ...should pick up when this weekend..also hear the quota aspect of gender "enforcement" is not going over well with women's associations and groups

The Leafs are "Canada's team"? In a league with a team called the Canadiens? The Leafs are as much as "Canada's team" as the Detroit Lions are "America's team" in the NFL.
Intersting commments. If memory serves me correctly our American friends usually refer to the Cowboys as America's team. The Leafs built on the sweat of good Canadian men are the truly Canada's team as they have been the heart, soul and passion for Canada since their gritty start as the St. Patricks. The Maple leaf on their chest was in fact the inspiration for the Canadian Flag and the extensive CBC coverage is also proof that when they next win the Cup and bring it to it's rightful place of belonging - Toronto - all will be right in the hockey world !!!
You missed the obvious point...the Lions will win a SuperBowl before any of you delusional Leaf fans will ever see a Cup in Toronto!
DDP, my learned and knowledgable pal..alas something is "amuck" in the land of the whopper..the Leafs Nation and I are on the same side as we both AGREE the Leafs are two trades away from the Holy Grail of Hockey ...stay tuned .perhaps hit the 6040 button on Browners Blog and listen as to a few recent games and future games of Canada's Team ...proof is in their grit and determination !
